Polyvagal Theory and the Gunas

According to ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, mental, physical and emotional well-being are determined by the gunas. These these forces, or gunas, impact the way in which we see and interact with the world around us. New research has linked this ancient knowledge to the relatively nascent Polyvagal Theory in an effort to propose a model for further research as to why yoga therapy is so successful in cultivating resilience.
